USU Library

USU Library

USU Library is the short form of Utah State University Libraries which is situated in 3000 Old Main Hill Logan. These libraries give access to the same library resources that students have in Logan. There are many journal and magazine articles that students aren’t able to find online free of cost. USU library solves this problem by providing large collection of journals and articles that students can access online through the library databases. They can also get the PDF copy of any article that they aren’t able to find online in full text in your email by requesting it through interlibrary loan. The students can get access to umpteen e-books available in the USU library too by searching the library catalog located at the top of the library website. The USU library has fixed it’s working hours. For now, the working hours have been reduced and many public spaces in the library are either closed or have new procedures in response to COVID-19. Many services are still available online. However, the normal working hours are mentioned below.

Study Rooms

The USU Library website offers an online booking system using which the students can reserve a group study room which they can use to avoid the busy library while still being able to access the resources available. The website offers multiple reservation dates and you can choose any date along with the floor and your preferred room number. You can also choose the time on which you want to book your group study room along with the duration. In the current Covid 19 situation they are limiting the occupancy of the rooms to ensure social distancing. There’s also extremely high demand for group study rooms therefore, each person may make only two reservations per day, for a total of two hours per day.

USU eastern library

USU eastern library is located on the Utah State University Eastern Campus. It provides a variety of services like the best resourceful books, e-books, audio and video include tutoring, the ACE Lab, CIDI, a production centre and so much more. Utah State University Eastern Library is investing in the future of redesigning spaces for purposeful and self-directed learning, student collaboration, and research innovation.

Merrill-Cazier Library

The Merrill-Cazier Library is the main library at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. It helps the the the students as well as the faculty in the Logan campus to move forward with their interest in research. It also helps the extension agents throughout the state and distance students. Other than that, it serves the research interest of the faculty at 30 Education Centers outside the Cache Valley.The Merrill-Cazier Library has got more than 10 lakh volumes, including approximately 6, 21, 000 books, and a great number of government documents and maps. This Library is a regional depository of U.S. government publications. It has extensive holdings of U.S. agency documents, periodicals and maps. 

USU Library 

The Utah State University Library has everything ranging from books, ebooks, and maps etc. Name it an you’ll get it there. What’s really fascinating about this library is that it has come up with the BARN system which is an automated storage and retrieval system. Automation in this library has increased its storage capabilities and the number of lost and missing journals has gone down. The USU Library used the traditional library storage methods but the ever-increasing collection resulted in lack of storage. This is the reason why these chose the BARN system making it easier for both the faculty and the students to get access to the resources they need from this library.
